Organic Meat

Most supermarkets now sell a selection of organic meat. When I first bought some beef and chicken this way I was happy that at last I could buy organic meat along with the rest of my groceries. Unfortunately the choice and quality varied and was limited. I decided to try some home delivered meat direct from a farm, what a difference. The taste and texture of the meat was absolutely fantastic, totally different from any meat I have had in a long time. If you have a farm shop near you I would recommend a visit or try a home delivery service

Graig Farm (revised)

Graig Farm is based in Wales, they sell a vast range of organic meat and groceries, including some organic ready meals and gluten free sausages and burgers. The meat is excellent and there is a good selection of gluten free sausages and burgers, not just plain old pork or beef but selections like Pork and Apple and Lamb and Mint. You can order online or you can post or telephone your order. Delivery is free on orders over £80 and if you order by Monday noon you will receive your order on Friday.

Cambrian Organics

Cambrian Organics is based in Wales, they sell organic beef, lamb, pork, chicken and burgers. I ordered some Welsh mountain lamb and beef. The site looks very simple and uncluttered, it was easy to use and easy to order online. On their site they state your order will be delivered in less than 10 day and it was. They offer a good selection of mixed organic meat boxes for you to try. The meat was excellent especially the lamb. You can order online, post or telephone. There is a scale for delivery costs until you reach £85 when delivery is then free.

Sheepdrove Farm

Sheepdrove Farm is based in Berkshire. The first time I tried Sheepdrove, some time ago, the meat box got lost and didn't turn up. Sheepdrove informed me that they have now changed their delivery service. I have tried their service a couple of times now and I am well impressed. The order was delivered within 4 days on both occasions. I particularly like the smaller cuts of meat they offer, much more convenient. The quality of the meat is very good and they also stock a range of gluten free burgers and sausages, although these generally have to be purchased in bulk. You can order online, over the telephone or they now have a shop in Bristol. Local delivery is free over £50 and nationally over £100.

The Organic Farm Shop (Formally Park Farm Shop)

The Organic Farm Shop is a local farm in Heckfield, Hampshire. They sell organic chicken, beef, pork, lamb, bacon and some organic vegetables. The prices are a lot cheaper especially the organic chicken. I buy my organic chicken from here, which is very nice and excellent value.
